Introducing Redeemer's Staff
Rev. Ben Pease, Senior Pastor
Pastor Ben became Redeemer’s senior pastor in July 2017, after serving on staff at Covenant churches in Springfield, MA, and New Brighton, MN. In June 2018 we celebrated Pastor Ben’s Ordination in the Evangelical Covenant Church. He loves preaching the Word of God along with equipping teams and teaching centered on growth in Jesus Christ. Ben is excited about God’s next steps for the congregation. Ben and his wife, Christi, have three children.
Amy Long, Director of Children, Youth & Family Ministry
Amy has a B.A. in Christian Education and Biblical and Theological Studies. Plus she earned her Master’s Degree in Christian Spiritual Formation from Wheaton College. She served churches in Chicago and Minneapolis. Then she came to Redeemer after several years working with children and families in a range of cross-cultural settings. Amy is passionate about creatively helping children and students encounter Jesus and respond to his call to join the Kingdom.
Krista Riedel, Office Administrator
Krista is excited to serve as Office Administrator at Redeemer! She has served in various churches as an office administrator and receptionist, and held various music positions such as piano accompanist, flutist, vocalist and handbell director for kids and adults. Krista studied at Concordia University-St. Paul for Handbell Performance. She and her husband, Darin, are members of Hennepin Ave UMC where she currently serves as Youth Handbell Director and Piano Accompanist for one of the kids’ choirs. She is very involved in singing with her church choir; ringing handbells with Bells of the Lakes, an auditioned community ensemble in Minneapolis; and performing as an active handbell soloist.
Nathan Bird, Sanctuary Choir Director
Nathan is the director of Redeemer’s adult choir that sings at the 8:45 a.m. traditional service. He served on staff two separate times, most recently from September 2015 to present. Nathan holds a Master’s in voice performance from Denver University. He has built a business in music including concert production, voice teaching, and performances around the world. He is passionate about helping individuals and organizations thrive by realizing unmet potential. Nathan currently resides in Minneapolis with his wife and four children.
