Studying God’s Perspective for our Lives
Join us at 10 a.m. on Sundays for adult Sunday classes focused on deepening our knowledge of the Bible and our relationship with God. We meet from September through May, and there are a number of different class options to choose from. No need to sign up; just pick a topic you like, and come grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
Growing in faith and knowledge is a lifelong process that strengthens our relationship with Christ. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
As our understandings of his Word deepens, we grow in our ability to understand God’s perspective. And with a renewed understanding of his will, we can grow in our ability to discern it in our daily lives. That’s how adult Sunday classes help us grow together.
Dec 8, 15, & 22: “Because of Bethlehem”
Join us in the Community Room for this 3-session video Bible study entitled “Because of Bethlehem” by Max Lucado. We’ll watch the video then discuss.
January 12-26: “Who Needs Theology”
Teacher: Ben Rhodes. For many, “theology” is something overly academic that makes faith strange and complicated. Yet, good theology is essential for healthy churches and a flourishing Christian life. This three-week study will explore what theology is (hint: “it’s thinking about God”), what constitutes “good” theology, how theology works, and why every believer is a theologian.
February 2-16: “Forgiveness”
For the next three weeks, Ben Rhodes will move the class into teaching on “Forgiveness.” Using some concepts discussed in “Who Needs Theology,” we will examine what healthy forgiveness looks like from a biblical and psychological perspective.
