What the Stay-At-Home order means for CEAP and our neighbors
From CEAP to Redeemer on 03/27/2020:
We wanted to reach out and assure you that with the Stay-at-Home order from Governor Walz taking effect this evening, CEAP is considered an essential business and will remain open to provide critical services to your neighbors! We are constantly adjusting and improving our processes to best support your neighbors while also limiting exposure.
Hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans have applied for unemployment insurance in the past two weeks; these are unprecedented numbers, and means that more people are struggling to meet basic needs. More people will need to depend on CEAP for the first time in their lives, and we will keep their families nourished during this crisis.
This pandemic is revealing that many of us are closer to needing help than we expected. Whether you are in the position to donate or to receive services from CEAP, we will be here for you. If you are in a position to give, your donation will go towards keeping everyone in your community safe and nourished.
- $25.00 – Provide an emergency box of food to a senior couple
- $50.00 – Provide a family of four with emergency food for two weeks
- $70.60 – Deliver two weeks’ worth of meals to one senior through Meals on Wheels
- $100.00 – Double your impact and provide emergency food to TWO families
- $247.10 – Sponsor a Meals on Wheels route: one week of daily meals for 7 senior neighbors
If you can give, please consider committing to a recurring donation. Just enter the amount you can give regularly, and check the “Show my support by making this a recurring donation.” You’ll then be prompted to set your donation schedule. Your consistent support will make it easier for CEAP to focus on our most important task: providing nutritious food to your neighbors!
