Families Moving Forward

The week of October 4 Redeemer will once again become "home" to 4 families, and we are looking for volunteers to assist with Families Moving Forward:

  • sleep overnight at church
  • help with meals
  • hang out and play with kids
  • or donate food items

If you haven't been able to participate in the ministry before, it’s a great opportunity to serve—by yourself, as a small group, or as a family! Stop by the table in the back sanctuary to sign up to help with our FMF week! Or contact the church office to find out how you or your family can be part of this wonderful ministry opportunity! If you have questions, please talk to Sandy Lindberg or Pastor Seth.

Digital Safety Workshop

Making smart, safe choices in the wireless world is the subject of the Digital Safety Workshop coming up on Sunday, October 11, 6-8 pm, at Redeemer. Students and parents/caregivers, this event is for you! Cell phones and tablets bring the Internet with you wherever you go—but what’s your digital safety IQ??? This workshop is designed to educate, empower, and equip you to be smart and safe when using digital technology and social media.

The workshop will be led by Alison Feigh who serves as the program coordinator at the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center. Influenced at an early age by the abduction of classmate Jacob Wetterling, she became an avid spokesperson on issues of personal safety.

  • FREE! Dinner will be provided!
  • For students in Grade 5 and up.
  • Open to the community!
  • RSVPs are appreciated, no later than Thursday, October 8
  • Questions or to RSVP, contact Amy Long, Director of Children & Family Ministry at Redeemer

Craving a Crunch?

With the arrival of the Fall season, has your mouth been watering for the perfect crunch of a Minnesota-grown apple? Or maybe your sweet tooth is craving a warm, freshly baked apple turnover with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top? Well, here's the solution: Keenagers’ Apple Orchard Outing. You'll get to spend the day touring together at the Apple Pantry Cafe, Bakery & Apple Market, and the Olde Barn Gift Shop, all located just 30 minutes west of Minneapolis in scenic Crow River country! This will be a great day to meet new retirement-aged friends and enjoy each other's company while satisfying your cravings for crunch!

Wednesday, October 7  |  Apple Jack Orchards in Delano, MN

  • Rides are available from Redeemer at 10 am or meet at the orchard at 11 am
  • Sign up in the central hallway
  • Judy Naus has answers to any questions

Staying Alert with Prayer Raid!

On the first Wednesday of every month, the community warning sirens are tested at 1 pm. The purpose of this test is to keep the system ready for severe changes in weather and the world’s climate. When you hear the sirens, remember that there is a faithful group of people joining in prayer at the Redeemer Covenant Church.

Prayer Raid!  |  October 7 at 1 pm  |  Memorial Room

We will spend time in prayer for our church, community, nation, and the world. Come join the Prayer Raid team!
