Growing and Serving Together

The Vision of Women Ministries is to advance God's kingdom through opportunities that equip women to grow, serve and reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ. How? By connecting women in transformational relationships and uniting them in Christ to impact our world.

Come connect with women to grow, to serve and to reach out!

For more information or questions about women's events, contact Alanna Hoffman, Deacon of Women Ministries.

Studying Together

Summer Bible Study: What Happens When Women Say Yes to God
Wednesdays at 10 am beginning June 17
Total obedience to Christ can transform an ordinary walk into a remarkable journey. Sharing personal experiences and biblical insights, Lysa TerKeurst shows you how to partner with God in everything you do. You'll learn to discern his voice, follow his direction, and discover a life of joy and purpose. Sign up in the central hallway. Books will be available for $10. For questions: Mary (Paul) Johnson or Enid Zroker.

Women's Book Club

Wednesday at 6:30 pm: July 15, 22, 29, and August 5

Join us this summer as we read and discuss Sensible Shoes, a book that follows the stories of four women who say “yes” to the invitation to travel deeper into the heart of God as they are drawn into a spiritual formation journey at a retreat center. You’ll meet:

  • Hannah, a pastor who doesn’t realize how exhausted she is.
  • Meg, a widow and recent empty nester who is haunted by her past.
  • Mara, a woman who has bounced from relationship to relationship, trying to navigate a difficult marriage.
  • Charissa, a hard working graduate student who wants to get things right

Author Sharon Garlough Brown is a spiritual director and retreat leader and co-pastors Redeemer Covenant Church in Caledonia, Michigan, with her husband, Jack. Sign up in the central hallway and please get your own book. Read the first three chapters before the first meeting. Questions can be directed to Kathy Turgeon.

Working Together

Holy Rollers | Redeemer Choir Room | The first Monday of the month
from 9:30 to noon
  Temporarily Suspended
The work is easy—ripping sheets into strips, sewing them together, and rolling them into bandages. We are also working on sewing layette outfits for newborns in Congo. There is plenty for non-sewers to do. Men are also welcome.

The Work of Women Ministries
At a Women’s Spring Event, Meagan Gillan shared about the work of Women Ministries in several areas: AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse), human trafficking awareness, global opportunities, leadership training, and retreats and events. Learn more at the Covenant Women website >>

AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse)
Redeemer Covenant Church recognizes the brokenness, hurt, pain, shame and hopelessness that result from abuse. Through AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse), congregations are empowered to address the wounds of abuse and to become safe sanctuaries and healing communities where people can flourish and grow into whole and healthy disciples of Jesus Christ. View video about AVA, a ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church. If you are interested in being involved with AVA at Redeemer or want to learn ways to support this ministry, please contact Kim Mitlyng.

May we help?
We are here to pray with you and for you. We will listen, support and connect you to resources and help with safety planning, empower you to make changes and decisions, help you experience God's love and provision, and direct you to the truth of His Word. Contact Redeemer's AVA advocate, Kim Mitlyng, pick up a brochure at Redeemer with more contact information, or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233
