Growing and Serving Together

The Vision of Women Ministries is to advance God's kingdom through opportunities that equip women to grow, serve and reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ. How? By connecting women in transformational relationships and uniting them in Christ to impact our world. Come connect with women to grow, to serve and to reach out!

Women's Book Club

Book ClubTuesday, May 3  |  6:30 pm  |  Memorial Room
All women are invited to the next meeting of the book club when we’ll be discussing the book Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi. A description of the book follows: In Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way. Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi struggled with an inner turmoil that will challenge Christians, Muslims, and all those who are interested in the world’s great religions.

Engaging and thought provoking, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man’s heart—and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus.

  • Please read the entire book before May 3 and come prepared to have a great discussion.
  • Contact Kathy Turgeon if you have questions.

Working Together

Holy Rollers | Redeemer Choir Room | The first Monday of the month
from 9:30 to noon
  Temporarily Suspended
The work is easy—ripping sheets into strips, sewing them together, and rolling them into bandages. We are also working on sewing layette outfits for newborns in Congo. There is plenty for non-sewers to do. Men are also welcome.

The Work of Women Ministries
Around the world, women are working together in several areas: AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse), human trafficking awareness, global opportunities, leadership training, and retreats and events. Learn more at the Covenant Women website >>

AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse)
Redeemer Covenant Church recognizes the brokenness, hurt, pain, shame and hopelessness that result from abuse. Through AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse), congregations are empowered to address the wounds of abuse and to become safe sanctuaries and healing communities where people can flourish and grow into whole and healthy disciples of Jesus Christ. View video about AVA, a ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church. If you are interested in being involved with AVA at Redeemer or want to learn ways to support this ministry, please contact Kathy Turgeon.

May we help?
We are here to pray with you and for you. We will listen, support and connect you to resources and help with safety planning, empower you to make changes and decisions, help you experience God's love and provision, and direct you to the truth of His Word. Contact Redeemer's AVA advocate, Kathy Turgeon, pick up a brochure at Redeemer with more contact information, or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233

Triennial XV - Quench
July 28-31, 2016, in Kansas City, MO
Journey together as women of the Covenant to an intentional spiritual adventure where we connect with God and one another across generations, cultures, geography, and life experience. For information and to register:

  • A personal invitation from Meagan Gillan, Director of Women Ministries for the Evangelical Covenant Church: Are you regQuenchistered for Triennial XV yet? It’s going to be an amazing event! There is so much energy and excitement building for this gathering of women, I hope you will be a part of it. Our theme, Quench, will take us to the heart of our deepest longings, helping us understand how God invites us to drink deeply from the spiritual water available in Jesus Christ. This will be great, and we can add to these messages the great excursions, meaningful and fun learning experiences, powerful worship, and so much more. We’ll also hear about the joys and challenges faced by amazing women from here and around the world. As we manke these meaningful connections, we’ll have opportunity to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Come to Kansas City this July 28-31 to quench your spiritual thirst.
  • Join other women and ride on the Women Ministries of the Northwest Conference chartered bus to Triennial. The cost is $100 (less if the bus is filled). A $50 deposit is due by July 8.
