Growing and Serving Together

The Vision of Women Ministries is to advance God's kingdom through opportunities that equip women to grow, serve and reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ. How? By connecting women in transformational relationships and uniting them in Christ to impact our world.

Come connect with women to grow, to serve and to reach out!

For more information or questions about women's events, contact Alanna Hoffman, Deacon of Women Ministries.

What's Happening

FriendsIF: Redeemer  |  Friday and Saturday, February 6-7
If God is real...then we want more than anything to live like it! Join us as we gather at Redeemer to be part of the IF: Gathering conference from Austin, Texas, via simulcast. We'll hear from speakers, worship together, and join in small group discussion. We’ll learn from the life of Joshua—and his faith and belief in God—and be challenged to live out the purposes that God has called each one of us to live.

The conference will go from 2 to 10 pm on Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. The cost is $35 and includes your conference materials, as well as lunch on Saturday. Friday night dinner is “on your own.” Watch for more details in your mailboxes this month! Questions? Talk to Kathy Turgeon or Sandy Lindberg.

Studying Together

What Happens When Women Say Yes to God  |  by Lysa TerKeurst
An evening Bible study meeting Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
beginning February 9

Total obedience to Christ can transform an ordinary walk into a remarkable journey. Sharing personal experiences and biblical insights, Lysa TerKeurst shows you how to partner with God in everything you do. You'll learn to discern his voice, follow his direction, and discover a life of joy and purpose. Want to be part of this 6-week Bible study? Sign up in the central hallway. Books will be available for $10. No childcare provided.

Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy  |  by Beth Moore
A morning Bible study meeting Wednesdays from 10 am to noon
beginning February 11

Join Beth in a faith-building study of prophecy and learn how to live with integrity in today's self-absorbed society. The prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats. Today, believers in Jesus Christ face many of the same trials. The first six chapters will be covered in this study, with chapters 7 through 12 to come at a later time. Sign up in the central hallway. No childcare provided.

Working Together

Temporarily Suspended:
Holy Rollers | Redeemer Choir Room | The first Monday of the month
from 9:30 to noon

The work is easy—ripping sheets into strips, sewing them together, and rolling them into bandages. We are also working on sewing layette outfits for newborns in Congo. There is plenty for non-sewers to do. Men are also welcome.

The Work of Women Ministries
At a Women’s Spring Event, Meagan Gillan shared about the work of Women Ministries in several areas: AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse), human trafficking awareness, global opportunities, leadership training, and retreats and events. Learn more at the Covenant Women website >>

AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse)
Redeemer Covenant Church recognizes the brokenness, hurt, pain, shame and hopelessness that result from abuse. Through AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse), congregations are empowered to address the wounds of abuse and to become safe sanctuaries and healing communities where people can flourish and grow into whole and healthy disciples of Jesus Christ. View video about AVA, a ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church. If you are interested in being involved with AVA at Redeemer or want to learn ways to support this ministry, please contact Kim Mitlyng.

May we help?
We are here to pray with you and for you. We will listen, support and connect you to resources and help with safety planning, empower you to make changes and decisions, help you experience God's love and provision, and direct you to the truth of His Word. Contact Redeemer's AVA advocate, Kim Mitlyng, pick up a brochure at Redeemer with more contact information, or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233
